Journey Not Destination
Salvation can be so confusing for many of us. We want to be able to pray a prayer and never have to worry about struggling with sin in our lives again. We want to be free from temptation immediately and forever. The truth is it simply does not work that way. Salvation is the process through which we are made more and more like Jesus, but it is a process.
Simple But Not Easy
Maybe, you grew up in the church and heard people talking about salvation, or being “saved”, multiple times. Salvation is the central theme of the Bible, and indeed, the very heart of the gospel. The promise of salvation is what stirs the heart of the new believer and continues to encourage Christians until the time they are called home. Salvation is a promise, a reality, and a hope.
The Upside Down
As believers, we are called to live in freedom. We are free to choose how we will live our lives. The way of the world today seems to be to live in any way you choose that brings you pleasure and feels good to you as long as you aren’t hurting anyone else. The world encourages us to be our own version of ourselves. The world says we can be anything we want to be and do anything we want to do as long as we aren’t hurting anyone in the process. But what if that kind of living is actually hurting us?
Don't Let It Go To Waste
There absolutely are some fears that are necessary and helpful in our lives. Unfortunately, we tend to be more familiar with the fears in our lives that are unnecessary and unhelpful. There is no shortage of those, and they are the ones that can take control of our lives in an instant. So, how do we stop them? How do we prevent those destructive fears from taking control of us?
The Age Old Question
Have you ever met anyone who was not afraid of failure in the least? People like that are hard to come by. Of all the fears, fear of failure seems to be one of the most common. I think everyone has experienced it at some point in their life. It can be paralyzing and can prevent us from going after our dreams. So how do we overcome that fear of failure in our lives?
