Find your mission
Start serving
Every week, people just like you change someone's Sunday — and their week. Your time is valuable, and we're honored you'd share some of it with us.
You can make a difference
Serving is where belonging starts
Helping a kid learn about Jesus on their level. Greeting a first-time guest. Running a camera behind the scenes. It all matters — and serving alongside others is one of the fastest ways to make real friends here and experience God in a whole new way.
Serve teams
Ten ways in
Pick one that fits your wiring — or tell us you're not sure and we'll help you find it.
- 01
First Impressions
Welcome · Doors · Café · Parking
You never get a second chance at a first impression. From the parking lot to the café to the auditorium, this team makes sure nobody walks in or out of Next Level on a Sunday without being noticed and welcomed.
- 02
Children's Ministry
Birth – 5th grade
A fun, safe place where kids learn about Jesus on their level. From praying over infants, to teaching Bible stories to toddlers, to rocking out in elementary worship — this team shows kids how much God loves them.
- 03
Student Ministry
Grades 6 – 12
Passionate about the next generation? Serve on Sunday mornings — everything from running the kitchen to sitting in small groups with students. Fun, loud, and one of the most rewarding places to serve.
- 04
Production
Audio · Lights · Camera · Slides
The team behind the scenes creating a distraction-free room where people can worship. Run sound, lights, cameras, or slides and shape every Sunday experience.
- 05
Worship Band
Instruments & vocals
Play or sing on stage and help lead our church into worship every Sunday morning. Auditions are relaxed — we'd love to hear from you.
- 06
Security
Safety on campus
Keeping Sundays and NLC events safe and secure. This team watches over our buildings and grounds and responds to medical or safety needs as they come up.
- 07
Coffee Ministry
The café crew
Great conversations start over a warm cup. Brew, pour, restock, and make the café the friendliest spot on campus.
- 08
Prayer Team
Sundays & weekly lists
Pray with people after service and cover our weekly prayer lists during the week. If prayer stirs something in you, this is your place.
- 09
Single Moms' Auto Repair
Hands, tools, and time
We help single moms who can't afford service and labor, or who have nobody to call. If you love working on cars, this team turns that skill into real relief for a family.

Life Group Leader / Host
Open your home
Gather a handful of people around a table, a Bible, and honest conversation. Lead a group, or simply host one — we'll walk with you either way.
Ready to jump in?
One short form covers every team. Choose as many areas as you like and a leader will reach out with the next step.
Outreach partners
We send dollars and we show up
We believe generosity has two hands. With one, we give financially from what our church family brings each week. With the other, we roll up our sleeves and serve beside these organizations in person. Money alone can write a check; a church can bring a neighborhood. So we do both — funding the work and filling the volunteer slots.

Housing & self-sufficiency
Charlotte Family Housing
Empowering working families experiencing homelessness to reach life-long self-sufficiency through shelter, housing, supportive services, and advocacy.

Crisis assistance in Matthews
Matthews HELP Center
Short-term crisis assistance for our neighbors in the greater Matthews community — a central place where help and resources reach people in need.

A hand up for families
HOPEmatch
Partnering with community members to bring hope to the unseen and underserved through programs and resources that give struggling families a hand up.

Children in poverty
Bright Blessings
Bringing joy, care, and hope to homeless and impoverished children through Bless-A-Birthday, Bless-A-Baby, Gift of Literacy, and Gift of Care.

Fighting modern slavery
Compassion to Act
A faith-based ministry on the front lines of modern-day slavery — boots on the ground going where no one else goes to liberate women.

Neighbors serving neighbors
Common Heart
A small revolution of kindness — bridging the gap of hunger and poverty, breaking through barriers toward new future stories, and building a community where all can thrive.
Follow along
Global missions
Go International

Military & first responders
Operation Gratitude
Honoring the service of our military and first responders by creating real, tangible ways to say thank you.

Reliant Church
A church plant launched in 2023 pursuing God's presence and purpose: Go Be — serve the city, Go Make — discipleship, Go Tell — share the gospel.
